SLAVEN SIZES UP STRIKERS

SLAVEN BILIC believes Andy Carroll and Javier Hernandez can form a deadly little and large strike partnership for West Ham.

The Irons boss is relishing the prospect of his battering ram, complemented by his accomplished goal poacher, punching holes in opposition defences this season.

Bilic said: “They are complimentary players. That was the plan when we got Hernandez.

“We didn’t buy him just because of that, but one of the reasons was because they can play together.

“The little and large striker. You have it maybe less now, but it’s not old-fashioned. They can work together.”
