Baker won the St Leger on Harbour Law last year but a crashing fall in Switzerlan­d in February changed his life and possibly ended his career.

Suffering from bleeding on the brain, the 35-year-old had to be taught how to walk again and still has no memory of the incident.

The recovery has been slow and steady with Baker still harbouring dreams of racing profession­ally again.
