THE boss of the firm that makes X Factor and Britain’s Got Talent has quit after 20 years.

Richard Holloway is leaving Thames days after we revealed Amelia Brown is to run X Factor as she is seen by Simon Cowell as an innovator. In 2012 Holloway was at the centre of an X Factor fix row. He whispered to judge Louis Walsh during an ad break and it is believed he asked him to save Rylan Clark.

Holloway, Thames’ managing director, has worked with Cowell since Pop Idol in 2001 and run all 14 series of X Factor since it began in 2004. He said: “I’m incredibly proud to have been at the helm.”
