TOURE NOW BACK WITH THE BHOYS
KOLO TOURE is back at Celtic as a coach.
The 36-year-old former Arsenal and Liverpool defender has been made technical assistant to boss Brendan Rodgers.
Toure made 17 appearances for the Hoops before leaving in July and had been looking to prolong his playing career.
He said: “I couldn’t be happier to be back at this great club. This is a new chapter in my career, a new beginning.
“I can officially say I’m retired from playing and fully concentrating on coaching.”
Toure took up a coaching role with Ivory Coast in the summer and worked with Rodgers and his backroom staff in recent weeks.
Celtic said he would be “supporting on all firstteam coaching matters, as well as using his knowledge, experience and expertise to assist across the club’s various youth levels”.
