Cartel shoots Narcos scout
A LOCATION scout for Netflix crime drama Narcos has been shot dead in a rural part of Mexico ruled by drugs cartels.
Carlos Muñoz Portal’s bullet-riddled body was found in a car in Temascalapa, in Mexico State.
It is thought cartel members became agitated after he was spotted taking pictures. A friend of Muñoz 37, who also worked on films, said he was in the region to shoot locations.
Netflix said: “We send condolences to his family.”
More than 2,000 drugsrelated murder investigations were opened in Mexico in June alone.
