Team Sky bit cloudy
CHRIS FROOME and Team Sky were forced to settle for bronze at the UCI world road cycling championships in Bergen.
Sky, representing Great Britain and with Froome’s powerful Tour de France minders Michal Kwiatowski, Geraint Thomas and Vasil Kiriyenka in the squad, were favourites to take the men’s time trial rainbow jersey.
But after going through the first checkpoint fastest, they were forced to drop Thomas – still recovering from a broken collarbone – and finished 22 seconds behind winners Sunweb and 14sec down on BMC.
