WOLVES ENJOY SWINGING 60S

-

HARVEY LIVETT scored 28 points and Peta Hiku claimed three tries as Warrington maintained their unbeaten Super Eight Qualifiers record.

The Wolves, in their first game since coach Tony Smith said he would be standing down, ran in 12 tries against the part-timers. Livett (right) landed 10 conversions and Jack Hughes and Jack Johnson who bagged braces, were among seven different try-scorers.

They led 16-0 within minutes. A mistake from Kyran Johnson, dropping a high bomb after just 90 seconds, resulted in Stefan Ratchford putting Hiku over from the scrum. Hiku (left) and Kevin Brown then combined to put Ratchford under the posts. A Ben Currie off-load enabled Livett to squeeze over in the corner. Chris Hill then sent Jack Hughes sidestepping his way in and Ben Pomeroy added a fifth in the corner. Andre Savelio used his strength to weave his way in just after coming on as a sub, before Hughes grabbed his second on the back of a Ratchford break.

Hiku and Livett brought up the half-century before a stirring move over 60 metres culminated in Johnson, who also scored the final try, touching down.
