Woman rule in talent hot list
Seven of the top 10 places in the Radio Times’ list of TV’s hottest talent for 2017 are taken by women.
Having landed the role of Doctor Who, Jodie Whittaker comes top, pushing legend David Attenborough into second.
Other women deemed at the top of their game include Fleabag’s Phoebe Waller-Bridge, Line of Duty’s Thandie Newton, The Crown’s Claire Foy and Catastophe’s Sharon Horgan.
The highest-ranking behind-thescenes entry in the list is Call the Midwife writer Heidi Thomas, at No16.
