COUNTRY ESCAPE

Jack Dee’s new sitcom Bad Move, starting on ITV tomorrow, was inspired by his real-life experience. He and wife Jane bought a manor house in idyllic countryside a few years ago and spent a lot of time and money on doing it up – only to realise they would rather stay in London. He says: “We realised we could not cope with quiet and solitude.” But in the sitcom his character and his wife (Kerry Godliman) don’t see their error in time, and a dream move turns into a total nightmare.
