A price war

between car insurers could be just around the corner. Analysts reckon a government U-turn over payments to people who’ve been badly injured in accidents could deliver savings that insurers pass on.

It came as shares in industry giant Esure jumped yesterday amid reports that founder Sir Peter Wood was gearing up to sell his 31% stake.
