Wales stars cue for exit

A TRIO of Welsh players suffered cruel exits as cue carnage disrupted day one of the World Open, in China.

Matthew Stevens, Michael White and Jamie Jones all saw their cues fail to arrive from the UK in time for their first matches in Yushan.

Twice former Crucible finalist Stevens, rankingevent winner White, and Jones had been on the same flight to Shanghai.

Stevens lost 5-0 to Mark Williams, world No.26 White suffered a shock loss to Chinese amateur Ma Chunmao, and Jones went down 5-1 to Robert Milkins.
