We’re getting wary of dairy
UP to 25% of consumers and 39% of 16 to 34-yearolds are cutting back on dairy products.
A survey for The Grocer magazine found 60% do so for health reasons, 32% are concerned about animal welfare and 25% over the environment.
Lucia Juliano, of pollsters Harris Interactive, said: “The industry needs to develop messages not just about health but about farming, provenance and the ‘naturalness’ of dairy products.”
