Stab killer ‘felt like a puppet’

-

A HANDYMAN accused of stabbing his girlfriend to death after asking her to drink his blood told jurors: “It was like something took control of my arm.”

Ivan Griffin, 24, said he felt like a “puppet on a string” as he plunged a knife first into his own chest, then into Sabrina Mullings, 38. He added: “It was like being a spectator in my own body.”

Griffin moved in with Ms Mullings and her daughter Hayleigh weeks before the attack and said they had been smoking cannabis together in the preceding days.

Hayleigh told police she heard him shouting about “releasing demons” and drinking blood during the attack at their home in Upper Norwood, South London.

Housing management worker Griffin admits stabbing but denies murder. The trial continues at the Old Bailey.
