Root’s beaut after horror

ENGLAND captain Eoin Morgan was in forgiving mood as he brushed off Joe Root’s horror fumble off Chris Gayle after just three balls. Test skipper Root (above) somehow dropped the Windies opener when it seemed easier to take the catch. He then made amends with a stunning catch to dismiss Gayle for 37 and set up a thumping win. Morgan said: “Joe doesn’t drop many and you’ve just got to try to create more chances. The bowling unit put in a really good benchmark for the start of the series.”
