May orders Boris: Fly home with me

-

BORIS Johnson was flying home with Theresa May last night as the pair tried to settle their Brexit row.

The Foreign Secretary had been due to return from the United Nations today after hosting an event on Somalia.

But he was ordered by the PM to change his plans and accompany her on trip from New York, giving them 6hr 45min to thrash out their differences at 35,000ft.

Their RAF Voyager aircraft is due to touch down at Heathrow this morning.

Mr Johnson was reportedly poised to resign in the wake of his controversial 4,000-word Telegraph article.

In it, he revived the Leave campaign’s since discredited plans to pump a further £350million a week into the NHS after Brexit.

But Mr Johnson has since made a spectacular climbdown and edged back from the brink.

He is now due to attend Mrs May’s key Brexit speech in Italy tomorrow.
