Room of your own at hotels

Holidaymakers will be able to select the exact hotel room they want on their getaway with the launch of a new service today.

Travel giant Thomas Cook’s industry first allows customers to pick which part of the property they prefer before they leave home.

The Choose Your Room initiative is now available in 50 hotels and will be rolled out to 300 of them by next summer.

Travellers can pick their ideal room based on personal preferences – for example, by the pool, within the sound of the sea or away from bars.

You reserve your room and pay a €30 charge on arrival.
