Nadal: Cup isn’t an easy Ryder
RAFA NADAL insisted the Laver Cup is “not an exhibition” before playing doubles for Europe tonight.
The new competition will follow a Ryder Cup format with a European team captained by Bjorn Borg taking on John McEnroe’s Rest of the World over three days in Prague.
Three singles matches today will be followed by Nadal and local favourite Tomas Berdych playing Nick Kyrgios and Jack Sock in the doubles.
“It’s going to be exciting,” said Nadal. “It’s not an exhibition. We are here to play our best and try to win.”
