ILKAY ‘BACK IN DAYS’ AFTER INJURY SCARE

ILKAY GUNDOGAN is due to return to training within days after tests revealed his knee injury is not serious.

Gundogan (above) was forced off in Manchester City’s Carabao Cup win over West Brom following a tackle by Claudio Yacob.

It was the midfielder’s first start following nine months out with knee ligament damage. “He’s expected to be back on the training field in the coming days,” said City.
