KLOPP: MANCS FOR NOTHING PEP & JOSE

- BY DAVID ANDERSON

JURGEN KLOPP admits the flying starts by Manchester United and Manchester City have turned up the heat on him at Liverpool.

Table-topping City and United are unbeaten and

already five points ahead of Klopp’s stuttering Reds. But he insists he can only control what happens at Anfield.

“Especially when the Manchester teams are flying, that makes it even more difficult,” said Klopp. “But I can’t change this.

“What I can do is cool the situation here, do the right things again and work. That’s how it always is.”

The German insists he will not panic over a run of four games without a win, which has seen Liverpool stumble in the Premier League and exit the Carabao Cup to Leicester (left). His feels his team are playing good football, adding: “You really think there would be one per cent of a reason I would panic? We have eight points. In four games we were the clear, better side, but didn’t get the results.

“We win and everybody is happy – we don’t win and everyone has enough reasons why we will never win a game again. I’m not in a panic.”
