Jermaine on home stretch

-

JERMAINE ELUEMUNOR returned home for the first time in six years yesterday, hoping to make his NFL debut at Wembley tomorrow.

The Baltimore Ravens’ offensive lineman was born in London’s Chalk Farm before moving to America when he was 14. The 22-year-old was inspired by the first NFL regularseason game at Wembley 10 years ago and took up the sport after crossing the Atlantic, playing college football at Texas A&M.

Eluemunor didn’t make the squad for the first two games of the season, both of which Ravens won, but a series of injuries could pave the way for his bow on home turf against the Jacksonville Jaguars. He said: “I’m going to have fun. I’m going to be myself and hope that’s good enough.”
