GARETH SOUTHGATE will check on Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain before naming his England squad next week.
The Three Lions boss will be at Leicester today to watch their clash with Liverpool and is certain to pay close attention to the Reds midfielder.
Oxlade-Chamberlain, 24, regained his England place last month but has been struggling for form since his £40million move from Arsenal.
Southgate is a big admirer of the player, but will want to be sure before picking him for next month’s World Cup qualifiers with Slovenia and Lithuania.
