BONY BACK TO ADD BITE FOR SWANS

- BY ROB COLE

SWANSEA CITY boss Paul Clement is ready to give Wilfried Bony his first Premier League start in more than 10 months.

Bony (below) is back after a £12million move from Manchester City and ready to join Tammy Abraham up front against Watford to add more firepower to a side that has managed only two goals, and seven shots on target, in five games.

Clement is happy with his defensive system, which frustrated Tottenham in last weekend’s 0-0 draw, but wants a greater return at the other end.

“We know we have to improve on the attacking side,” he said. “But the good defending we produced didn’t happen overnight, it was down to lots of work on the training ground. I’m sure the offensive side will come once we’ve done the work.

“A lot of the way teams defend now are a form of zonal marking – man marking is from another era. We faced 12 corners against Spurs and defended every situation, but no one said it was down to great zonal defending.”
