‘I’M SEEING THE LIGHT’

- BY SIMON BIRD

SIMON GRAYSON says Sunderland are ready to end their nine-month winless run at the Stadium of Light.

The Black Cats have not won at home since December and are desperate for victory to relieve the pressure at the bottom of the Championship.

Grayson (left) has reshaped his squad on a shoestring, slashing the wages from £80million to £30m, and the team has struggled.

But he said: “It’ll happen sooner or later and I know that without a shadow of a doubt because we have a good group of players who are desperate to do well.

“Let’s hope it starts tomorrow.” Rotherham’s Joe Mattock is banned and David Ball is struggling with illness. Eoin Doyle is ruled out through suspension for Oldham.
