The picture that says: We are so in love

MEGHAN Markle and Prince Harry look the perfect loving couple as they stroll hand-in-hand together at a public event for the first time.

The pair appeared blissfully happy, sharing knowing glances, as they watched wheelchair tennis together at the Invictus Games in Toronto, Canada. Kylie Lawler, whose husband Sean was playing in the match, sat next to the loved-up couple. She said: “They had an awesome chemistry. They seemed at home with each other.” Harry and Meghan arrived at the match together holding hands just after the end of the first game of the first set

between New Zealand and Australia. The Kiwis won the match but almost all eyes were fixed on Harry, 33, and Meghan, 36, sitting at the side of the court.

Wearing sunglasses and carrying a brown tote bag, Meghan looked stunning in a white shirt, jeans and flat shoes. Harry was dressed casually in a black Invictus Games polo top and blue trousers.

Ms Lawler said: “They were very easy to talk to. She said, ‘Hi’. She was excited to be here and lovely. They seemed awesome. He’s just a normal person, the most downto-earth.” Asked if there had been any mention of a wedding, she laughed: “There was no wedding talk at all.”

Her sons Bailey, 10, and Oliver, eight, gave Harry and Meghan a toy koala each to take home. Ms Lawler added: “I missed half the game because we were chatting. I don’t think my husband will forgive me.”

New Zealand fan Nicky Gibbs, who was sitting nearby, said. “They’re lovely, very talkative. I didn’t get to talk very much. Loved up? Yes they were. They seemed lovely. They were having a lovely time.”

Olivia Kornel, 16, whose stepdad Glenn Barnes was playing for New Zealand, said: “It was cool. We knew Harry was coming, but we didn’t know Meghan was coming as well – but I’m really glad she did, because I’m a massive fan of Suits.”

Olivia said she overheard Harry explaining the Invictus Games tennis rules, which differ to the sport’s usual laws, to actress Meghan. She gave them a New Zealand pin badge and a koala bear as a gift. She said: “It was amazing, really amazing. They were watching the game and cheering on my stepdad.

“They were absolutely lovely – they asked me if I enjoyed the game...”

The couple were said to be delighted with their first public appearance. A royal source said: “It was a calm, fun atmosphere for the competitors and their families, which was the most important thing.”
