TIGER FRAIZER A ROAR TALENT

Grayson offers no guarantees club won’t suffer yet another relegation

- BY DAVID ANDERSON

SIMON GRAYSON admits he cannot guarantee Sunderland will not be relegated to League One.

IPSWICH boss Mick McCarthy says his side’s show against Leeds set a new standard.

Town pushed the league leaders all the way only to be beaten 3-2, but McCarthy (left) saw fresh hope and claimed: “We played very well. Now we have to get that winning mentality back after an encouraging performance.

“It’s nice as I always fancy us to score and I have faith in the team.” HULL manager Leonid Slutsky believes the Tigers are about to see the best of Fraizer Campbell.

The 30-year-old former Manchester United striker has been eased back into action after a month out with a groin injury.

And Campbell, back at Hull after a loan spell a decade ago, scored at the weekend in his 65 minutes on the pitch. Slutsky (above) is hoping for only a second clean sheet of the season at home to Preston tonight – and is looking to Campbell at the other end.

He said: “Fraizer is now in good form. First time he came back he was ready for 20 minutes, next time for 30 minutes, then 60 to 65 minutes.

“I hope in the coming matches he will be our best striker.”
