THE goal celebrations I saw over the weekend were so mealy-mouthed that I’m starting to wonder if players now actually enjoying playing.

I used to give it both barrels to opposing fans — verbally and with gestures — when I’d scored and I loved getting it back. Ian Wright used to go mad, Mick Channon did his windmill, Alan Shearer and Andy Cole had their one-armed salutes. Mo Salah (left) and Harry Kane were woeful in celebrating on Saturday. Come on, you big softies – give it to ‘em.
