LESTER IN ’FIELD DAY AS GAFFER

ALAN SHEARER has led the tributes to former Newcastle chairman Freddy Shepherd.

MANCHESTER UNITED and Arsenal are among the clubs tracking MK Dons starlet Dylan Asonganyi.

Prolific striker Asonganyi, 16, has started the season with nine goals in just seven games for MK Dons’ Under-18s.

His form has alerted Jose Mourinho and Arsene Wenger (above), along with Liverpool and West Ham, who are also monitoring Asonganyi’s progress.

But MK Dons are keen to hold on to the frontman, who turns 17 in December. CHESTERFIELD are set to appoint former striker Jack Lester as their new manager. Lester is currently the Under-23 coach at Nottingham Forest. The Spireites sacked Gary Caldwell (left) earlier this month.
