EDUCATION

-

Labour will meet the challenge of “automation and technological change” by helping workers retrain, the leader said.

Mr Corbyn explained his vision for a National Education Service to train people “from the cradle to the grave” and, as with the National Health Service, be free at the point of use.

Taking the emphasis off the controversial election pledge to scrap tuition fees he focused on free technical and vocational training. He said: “Labour will build an education and training system that empowers people.”
