The Tories are “bereft of ideas” and with an economic model based on “driving down wages, services and standards”.

Mr Corbyn added: “Their disregard for rampant inequality, the hollowing out of our public services, the disdain for the powerless and the poor have made our society more brutal and less caring.”

He joked the Tories did ”have one thing that we lack”, saying “they tracked down the Magic Money Tree to keep Theresa May in Downing Street”, referring to the £1billion bung to the DUP.
