Cannibal pair ‘sold human pies to cafes’
Army cadets ‘also served remains’
A CANNIBAL couple allegedly supplied pies made of human meat to cafes and restaurants.
Natalia Baksheeva, 42, has confessed that she and husband Dmitry Baksheev, 35, killed and devoured 30 or more victims.
Remains were allegedly found in their freezer at a military academy hostel they lived in, along with cans of steamed meat and pickled human flesh.
A police source said: “(She) had been working in the academy as a nurse and supposedly sharing cans of human meat with students.”
Neighbours at Krasnodar in southern Russia said Natalia made pies and worked as a chef to boost her income, boasting to cafe owners she could supply “meat”.
Cafe owner Vitaly Yakubenko, who turned her away in 2010 for looking “vulgar”, said: “These cannibals were looking for places to sell their meat.”
Earlier this week, it emerged they took snaps of victims, including a head served up on a platter.
