EU ‘catastrophe is looming for NHS’

LEAVING the EU could be “potentially catastrophic” for the NHS, a report warns.

Even a soft Brexit, keeping the single market but restricting free movement of people, could have a big impact on healthcare in the UK, claims the study by the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine.

Meanwhile, 55% of NHS staff claim shifts do not have the level of nurses planned and 53% say the shortage is compromising the care given to patients, a Royal College of Nursing poll reveals.
