Mental health beds cut 15%
MENTAL health services have suffered damaging cuts in hospitals and the community, says a report.
Inpatient beds fell 15% between 2013 and 2016 in England and Wales, with staff cuts of 20%.
Charity Centre for Mental Health and the NHS Benchmarking Network also said community mental health staffing fell 4% in the same period.
Centre for Mental Health said: “It’s unsustainable to cut community services and bed numbers.”
