Norton’s pain at final Carrie chat
Graham Norton says Carrie Fisher nearly pulled out of her final interview with him weeks before she died as she was unwell.
Graham, a friend of the Star Wars actress, says it has taken him a long time to come to terms with her death at the age of 60 last December.
Graham, whose chat show returns to BBC1 tonight, told This Morning: “It was extraordinary, it transpired that was her final interview. It was like, ‘oh, if we’d known...’ I wish we’d done a better job.
“It was such a shock. It’s taken a long time to figure out she has gone.”
He explained: “She was ill. She nearly cancelled but thought, ‘Graham will be nice to me’, so got through the show.
