I confess that, at first, I wasn’t impressed by this year’s Strictly Come Dancing line-up, as I’d only heard of a handful of the celebrities. I thought the show was in danger of losing some of its sparkle, but how wrong I was. There’s a wide range of talent on display, with some truly outstanding dancers. I reckon this could well turn out to be one of the best years in its history.

I’m thoroughly enjoying the old episodes of The Bill on the Drama Channel. I used to love watching it growing up in the 90s and I just don’t think current police shows are as good as The Bill was in its prime.

When it ended it was sadly past its best, but it is great to watch the series from the very beginning.
