FIRM IS DOING A STELLA JOB
Profits at designer Stella McCartney’s fashion empire surged by 43% to £9.5million last year. Sales at her firm, which owns three stores and has commercial ties-ups with Adidas and Proctor & Gamble, jumped by nearly a third to £41.6m. McCartney, daughter of Beatles legend Sir Paul, banked more than £4m in dividends. She owns 50% of the business while French firm Kering, behind Gucci, Alexander McQueen and Saint Laurent, has the other half.
