New York to England

-

NEW YORK CITY midfielder Jack Harrison has been called up by England Under-21s.

Harrison, 20, joins Aidy Boothroyd’s squad to face Scotland and Andorra in Euro qualifiers after Ruben Loftus-Cheek and Sheyi Ojo withdrew with injuries.

He began his career as a youth player at Manchester United but moved to the United States aged 14.

Harrison made his debut for New York City last year, and was nominated for MSL young player of the season.

“I never thought this would happen when I moved out here,” he said.

“It’s a special moment and I’m going to cherish it.”
