Hammers will stick with Bilic

- BY DARREN LEWIS

SLAVEN BILIC will get until the end of the season to prove he is the right man for West Ham.

The Hammers boss lifted his side out of the bottom three with Saturday’s home win over Swansea.

Despite claims that the Croat is under pressure, there is no appetite at the London Stadium for change. Carlo Ancelotti was linked with Bilic’s job after being fired by Bayern Munich but suggestions that the Londoners have approached the 58-year-old Italian are well wide of the mark.

With just seven games gone and key players back from injury, there is optimism within the club that they will soon climb the table, especially with a run of winnable fixtures – against Burnley, Brighton and Palace – to come.

Hammers fans booed Bilic at half-time on Saturday, and again when he made his substitutions.

But one of the subs, Arthur Masuaku, set up the late winner for fellow sub Diafra Sakho. In West Ham’s previous League win, Andre Ayew was booed when he came on as a late sub but then cheered when he scored the second in a 2-0 defeat of Huddersfield.
