McGREGOR SAVES DAY FOR HOOPS

CALLUM McGREGOR insists Celtic overcame the biggest test of their SPL campaign so far after a 2-2 home draw with Hibernian.

McGregor (above) salvaged a point with his second goal after John McGinn’s double threatened the Hoops’ 57-game domestic unbeaten run.

The midfielder admitted: “It was the toughest test we’ve had. We had a few tired bodies at the end, but we kept going to try and get a result.”

Adam Rooney warned there is more to come from Aberdeen after his hat-trick moved them level on points with Celtic following a 3-0 win against St Johnstone.

The striker said: “We’re still unbeaten and joint top so considerin­g the lads are still gelling and we’re still finding our system, it’s been a great start.”

Kilmarnock boss Lee McCulloch slammed his players after the 2-0 home defeat to Ross County.

McCulloch’s side are without a win and he said: “I told the players I feel really let down by their applicatio­n in the first half.”

Partick remain bottom after a 3-0 defeat at Motherwell, and boss Alan Archibald said: “It probably was our worst performanc­e of the season.”

Kerr Waddell’s late winner secured Dundee’s 2-1 win against Hearts.
