Young speed into trouble

-

YOUNG drivers are quickly racking up speeding fines, with four in five of under25-year-olds’ motoring offences for going too fast.

Not wearing a seat belt and driving without insurance led to 7% of tickets, according to Freedom of Information requests for 1,700 offences.

Car dealer Robins and Day, which led the study, said half of young drivers also eat at the wheel.
