Strictly’s Chizzy: My plans for LA stardom
LAST DANCE Chizzy & Pasha CHIZZY Akudolu said that she hopes her stint on Strictly Come Dancing will help her fulfil her dream of a Hollywood career.
The ex-Holby City star, 43, and dance partner, Pasha Kovalev, 37, were the first to be voted off this year’s series. Akudolu said: “I’m gutted, I’m heartbroken, but the sun is shining and I feel good.”
The actress admitted that her exit was a surprise. She said: “I know my scores weren’t great, but I didn’t think I was going home. It was a massive shock.”
Akudolu said she now hopes to head to the US to further her acting career. She said: “I was planning on going to Los Angeles in January. [But] now that I have some time, this will be a good time to go over and get an agent.”
Chizzy revealed she has long dreamed of acting in the US. She said: “It’s always been on the cards. It’d be great to go over with my Holby and Strictly showreel and show them who I am.
“That’s the great thing about Strictly – people get to see you rather than the character you play,” the TV star added.
