‘Clinton pal’ fraud could be locked up
A WOMAN who claimed she could get behind-thescenes access to Hillary Clinton’s US presidential campaign to win a £120,000 deal with a filmmaker may face jail.
Ann Leuser, 56, claimed she knew the Democrat hopeful and used an actor to impersonate a member of the campaign team.
She negotiated the deal with British producer Alison Birley and blagged a £3,434 trip to New York as part of the scam.
Leuser of Fraserburgh, Aberdeenshire, admitted fraud at Inner London crown court, but said she thought she could gain the promised access and was not due to be paid until filming began. She was bailed ahead of a hearing next month for further evidence and sentencing.
