Ozil ready to be sold

-

FROM BACK PAGE publicly he was happy at the club, wanted to stay in London and was interested in re-signing.

But while talks are ongoing, they are still no closer to a resolution with Ozil, 28, demanding around £350,000 a week.

Arsenal have offered him in excess of £275,000 a week but they have not come close to agreement.

Ozil is not in the team because of a slight knee problem – and that has only highlighted the fact Arsenal can cope without him.

Boss Arsene Wenger has said Ozil will be fit again after the international break but he is no longer guaranteed a place in the starting line-up.

While Alexis Sanchez has performed well in some games despite his contract stand-off, there have been questions over Ozil.

Arsenal legend Martin Keown suggested Wenger no longer “trusts” him.

Inter chairman Erick Thohir last week admitted publicly they are keen on the World Cup winner.
