Dragons hail Bale

GARETH BALE won his latest award for Wales last night, linking up with the Dragons squad despite a fitness scare.

He was named players’ player of the year following 26 goals from 68 caps.

Other winners at the FAW awards included young player of the year – Liverpool’s Ben Woodburn.

Bale is in line to play in the World Cup qualifiers against Georgia and Ireland having sat out Real Madrid’s 2-0 win over Espanyol on Sunday after hamstring trouble.
