- BY MARK SOLOMONS

CHANGING a lightbulb or doing the weekly shop are among the events which make young people realise they have grown up.

Finding the fuse box without help, cooking a meal from scratch and going to the dry cleaners also mark the transition, a survey discovered.

The Gumtree poll of adults aged 18 to 25 also found buying their own goods and realising how expensive they are is another moment when they feel they have left childhood behind.
