Then Adam chased after Emma with a gun and a shot was fired in the dark. Now tonight’s aftermath lends itself to a creepy opener.
Someone is severely injured and slumped up against a tree, while elsewhere someone is fighting for their life in hospital.
As we cut from the scene of the incident to the hospital ward, there’s nail-biting tension.

ITV, 7.30pm and 8.30pm The courtroom drama continues as it’s Craig’s turn to give evidence against Nathan. But he’s flustered, and you’ll wonder if he is able to steady himself enough to deliver it on the stand. Then later on, the verdict is finally in.
Elsewhere on the cobbles, Daniel’s editor Cindy tells him to keep digging for dirt on the flats story, so he quizzes Phelan about Michael’s death. Meanwhile, Gemma, Norris and Jenny are alarmed when Rita does a disappearing act.
