AARON HUGHES is out of Northern Ireland’s final two qualifiers – and is battling to make next month’s play-offs.

Northern Ireland’s most-capped outfield player will miss the games against world champions Germany tomorrow and Norway on Sunday with a calf injury. Irish boss Michael O’Neill said of his 108-cap defender’s hopes of being fit for the playoffs: “He would come into the doubtful category.”
