‘He raped me in hotel after binge drink’
A BUSINESSMAN raped a young woman in his hotel after picking her up as she enjoyed an all-day bar crawl with colleagues, a court heard.
The City worker, in her 20s, claims she woke to find William Paton, 30, having sex with her.
She said: “I remember being rocked and seeing someone there, I freaked.”
She told the court she was “eight out of 10” on a scale of total inebriation.
Paton, of Newton Mearns, near Glasgow, had travelled to an event in the City of London.
Paton said he had no memory of being with her, but there must have been consent because he is not a rapist. He pleaded not guilty at Blackfriars crown court, South East London.
The trial continues.
