BARKLEY IN LATE SHOW
MAURICIO POCHETTINO could offer Ross Barkley a late passport to next summer’s World Cup finals.
Tottenham will go headto-head with Chelsea again in January for the out-of-favour Everton midfielder.
And Barkley (above) may be swayed by Spurs boss Pochettino, who has a proven record of producing England players, and has faith in the 23-year-old.
Barkley, the subject of a £35million summer bid by Chelsea, could end up in a deeper role at Spurs rather than as a traditional No.10.
That would be a huge bonus for England boss Gareth Southgate, who is short of deeper-lying midfielders ahead of the tournament in Russia.
