‘Sterling to prove value’

GARETH SOUTHGATE has backed Raheem Sterling to win over England fans tonight.

The Manchester City winger, who has six goals in nine games this term, has been savaged for his recent Three Lions displays.

But he will play in the No.10 role at Wembley, and Southgate said: “Raheem bounces back from disappointments as he is a tough lad. We want the crowd to be excited with what they’re watching and he can do that.”
