EUBANK’S GETTING ON HIS BIKE

- BY DAVID ANDERSON

CHRIS EUBANK JUNIOR plans to honour his dad by riding a Harley-Davidson to the ring.

Eubank Senior (bottom) famously rode the iconic machine for his defeat by Steve Collins in 1995 and his son wants to be just as charismatic.

Eubank Junior (top) faces Turk Avni Yildirim in the quarter-finals of the Ali Trophy tonight in Stuttgart and will ride a bike to the ring if he reaches the supermiddleweight final in May.

Britain’s IBO champiom posed on a 2018 Fat Boy Harley ahead of this evening’s big fight and said: “Boxing is not only a sport, but a show.

“I’ll try to be as good as my father in both matters. My father was one of the most dazzling figures in boxing in his era and one of the most successful. He electrified audiences and made his opponents feel insecure.

“I chose a Harley-Davidson for my photo shoot because my father rode one to the ring. Before I win the Ali Trophy, I’ll enter an arena on a Harley like my father.

“I am the future of boxing. I will terminate Yildirim, the so-called Turkish Rambo.”
